SCHEME 2001-02
OBJECTIVE
:
·
To encourage the students of Under Graduate
and Post Graduate students of Visual Communication and
Mass Communication of Chennai City based Educational
Institutions for producing a good documentary film on
socially relevant theme as part of their curriculum and
·
The PG students of MASSCOM to have an hands
on experience on Public Relations Campaign.
VALIDITY:
The
Scheme is valid for the PR Campaigns conducted and Video
Documentaries produced by the students during the period
between 1st September 2001 and 30th
November 2001
RULES
FOR THE AWARDS
01. PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN
:
1.
Post Graduate students of Mass Communication of
Chennai based Colleges /Institutions are only eligible to
participate
2.
The Campaign should be on a theme concerning
“women empowerment”
3.
The Foundation or the coordinator should be
informed atleast 10 days in advance of the live PR
Campaign
4.
The Juries consisting of one PR professional, one
Media professional and one academician will be observing
the campaign personally for evaluation
5.
A report of the campaign should be submitted (not
exceeding 1000 words) along with a floppy containing the
report in word document – The report should contain the
certificate from the HOD or Professor in charge that the
campaign was planned and executed by the students –
Media reports also to be enclosed along with the report
6.
The decision of the Juries is final and no further
correspondences will be entertained
7.
Last date for submission of the report is 30th
November 2001
8.
The Institution whose PR Campaign is adjudged as
the “Best” will be given a Rolling Shield and the
students will be given “Certificate of Merit”
02.
DOCUMENTARY FILM
1.
The Undergraduate students of Visual Communication
and the Post Graduate students of Mass Communication of
Chennai based Colleges are eligible to participate.
2.
The Video documentary produced by the students
should be on a ‘socially relevant ‘ theme and it
should convey a ‘positive message’. The duration of the film should be minimum of 5 minutes and
maximum of 15 minutes.
3.
One Best Documentary produced by the Under Graduate
students and one documentary produced by PG Students will
be given an Award. (This award will be sponsored by M/s Krishnaswamy Associates,
one of the leading documentary producers)
4.
The documentary film either in VHS format or CD
format along with the script should be sent to the
Foundation so as to reach before 30th November
2001. A
certificate from the HOD / Professor in charge confirming
that the documentary was planned, conceived and filmed by
the students mentioned therein also should accompany the
VHS / CD.
5.
A panel of Juries with Mr Krishnaswamy, M/s
Krishnaswamy Associates, as Chairman and one Academician
and a professional will decide the winning documentary.
6.
The decision of the Juries is final and no
correspondences will be entertained in the matter.
7.
The winning films will be screened during the Award
Ceremony to the audience.
GENERAL
The
Awards and the Certificates will be presented during the
function to be held in the month of December 2001 or
January 2002 by eminent personalities.
Dr
U Srinivasa Raghavan, Chief Post Master General, Tamilnadu
will be the Chief of Juries for the "Public Relations
Campaign"
Dr
S Krishnaswamy, Founder, Krishnaswamy Associates one of
the leading Docuemtnary producers of India will be the
Chief of Juries for adjudging the best
"Documentary Film"
